
The India Cambodia Business Forum organized on 3rd June 2025 was hosted by the Indian Chamber of Commerce, led by Mr. Sandeep Majumdar, the President of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (InCham).
The event was also attended by the President of Cambodia Women Entrepreneur’s Association, Madam Chan Pheary, government officials, representatives from the Chambers of Commerce and Business Associations.
Overseas attendees include YAB Datuk Seri Dr. P Thirunal Karasu and Mr. S. Gunasekaran, the Chairman of the Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) from Singapore and Malaysia with Keynote speeches promoting the PUDUCHERY 2025 exhibition in India.

The Business Forum highlighted attendance with Ambassador Vanlalvawna Bawitlung from the Embassy India, His Excellency Sok Siphana, Senior Minister in charge of Trade and Economic Affairs, Mr. Anthony Galliano, Group CEO from the Cambodia Investment Management Holding, Oknha Pech Bolen, the Present of the Young Entrepreneur’s Association of Cambodia.
H.E. Dr. Sok Siphana said in his speech that Cambodia has come a long from way from a Least Development Country (LDC) and is working towards the country’s migration to become an upper middle income country by 2030 and a high income country by 2050.
The new Indian Ambassador to Cambodia, H.E. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung in his speech welcomed the bilateral trade relationship with Cambodia and India while at the same time highlighted the long history of cultural relationship between both countries.
New areas of cooperation are under way especially in areas of cross border payment gateways, the double taxation agreement and trade preferential treatment is expected to spur investments into Cambodia.

H.E. Ambassador also encouraged more trade cooperation between India and Cambodia as he envisions the youth leading the trade, investment opportunities with Duty Free Trade Preferences and the ASEAN India Trade in Goods Agreement between both countries.
Ambassador Bawitlung said the direct connecting flight to India and Cambodia in Siem Reap by IndiGo and Phnom Penh by Air Cambodia will see many other business and tourism opportunities later this year.
